We have several opportunities to serve
before and during each of our worship services.
Assisting Minister
Assist the Pastors in leading worship and with distributing Communion.
If you are interested in serving in this ministry, please e-mail Pastor Jon so he can walk you through these duties before you serve the first time.
Greeters
Welcome everyone to St. Paul Lutheran Church and distribute bulletins before worship begins.
Ushers
Help with collecting the offering and with guiding individuals to Communion.
Lectors
Read aloud the lessons for the day.
You will receive the lessons ahead of time so you can practice all of those difficult names from the Old Testament.
Communion Assistant
Helps with distributing Communion.
Generally, this means helping distribute small cups of wine/grape juice or holding a basket to collect the empty cups. Occasionally, you will be asked to help with distributing bread.
Acolytes
Our Confirmation students serve as our acolytes.
Pastor Rebecca takes care of this portion of the schedule.
Building Attender
Our Congregation Council members serve in this role to make sure the building is opened and closed on Sunday mornings, as well as making sure all of our worship assistants are prepared for the day. Council and the Pastors take care of this portion of the schedule.
