Dear Friends in Christ,
"Come to the Water: Where Water Connects, Sustains, and Refreshes" is our fall stewardship theme. Based on the familiar choir anthem, Come to the Water, St. Paul Lutheran Church is a place to Come to the Water. Holy Baptism reminds us that through water and word, we are claimed by God, sealed by the Holy Spirit, and marked with the cross of Christ, forever.
In the weeks to come, you will hear more about St. Paul's exciting ministry plan for 2022. Bulletin mailers, letters, and a brochure will inform you of our congregation's mission plans for the upcoming year.
Together we are on a mission where water connects, sustains, and refreshes us, encouraging us to grow in our generosity in support of God's mission.
As part of "Come to the Water: Where Water Connects, Sustains, and Refreshes," you will be invited by letter to prayerfully consider your generosity and how you might increase your generosity for 2022. Please pray about how God is leading you to respond generously.
On Sunday, October 24, as we give thanks for all God has given us, we will bring our Statement of Intent to worship. If you are not currently worshipping in person, we ask you to mail your statement of intent to the church by Monday, October 25.
Our goal is to have 155 Statements of Intent returned from the congregation. Imagine the ministries that our generosity can support!
Thank you for participating in the ministry of this congregation. Pray for our shared ministry so that all may come to the water and be connected, sustained, and refreshed.
Go with God,
Pastor Jonathan D. Bull
