Christian Education is at the very heart of the church. In the educational process the Spirit of God encounters people of all ages so that they are nurtured in faith, grow in knowledge and experience, and are inspired and empowered to live as disciples of Jesus Christ. This call to discipleship compels us to share our faith and serve others in the home, the community, and in God’s world.

We have multiple opportunites for all ages to join in. A list is provided below. For more information on our Children & Youth opportunities, please see the tab located at the top named, "Children & Youth" For more information about our other educational ministries, CLICK HERE.

Sunday School:

  • SPYKids means “St. Paul Youth: Kids Investigating Divine Stories”. Classes are currently offered for pre-school age through 5th grade, based on the Rotation format.
  • Confirmation Class: Classes are held for 6th-8th graders on Sunday evenings and Sunday mornings. Classes cover the Bible, Discipleship and Luther’s small Catechism. These classes are designated to prepare the youth for claiming the promises made at Baptism as their own. For more information, please see the Children & Youth tab above.
  • LYO (Lutheran Youth Organization): is the High School youth program, including weekly Sunday School sessions, Sunday night meetings with food and games, monthly meetings and special activities such as ASP trips, ELCA Youth gathering, and other fun times.
  • Vacation Bible School / LOMO Day Camp: VBS is held each summer. VBS is for the Pre-School aged children, and is mornings only. LOMO Day Camp is elementary-aged children and is from 9a-3p. We currently incorporate our VBS within the week-long LOMO day camp which St. Paul and Grace Lutheran co-host each July. 2013 LOMO/VBS will be held here at St. Paul Lutheran, July 15-19 and is held during the mornings only.
  • Puppet Posse: The Posse is open to all middle and high school youth, no puppet experience is necessary. The Puppet Posse uses their hands to share the Good News message during special Sunday School presentations, VBS, at local nursing homes and in the community at large.
